Welcome to G.L.A.S.

Great Lakes Avicultural Society

We are a bird association that meets on the second Monday of every month. At each meeting we have specific topics that are covered and time to share important and fun information about our feathered friends. We encourage communication between members to aid in education. There is always time for those great stories that we have about our companion parrots too.

Oh yeah, the feathered babies are also encouraged to accompany their parents to our meetings.

About G.L.A.S.

G.L.A.S. was established in 1976 for pet bird owners and breeders. Our purpose is to promote proper companion bird care and to facilitate learning about birds in an encouraging, friendly and fun way.

Come join us on the second Monday of the month @ 7pm.  We meet at the Boy Scout Building located at 3213 Walker N.W., Grand Rapids, MI. The building is handicap accessible and you do not need to be a member to attend a G.L.A.S. meeting. We accept any and all people who own or breed pet birds.

If you would like more information about our organization, please contact one of our Hospitality Officers: glas@glasbirdclub.org.

You can also print out a copy of our Membership Application and become a member.
